About MGS Coachworks
MGS Coachworks, based in Purley, Surrey near the M25, was started in 1990 by Mike Spenceley. As a time- served craftsman and master painter with over forty years experience, Mike has renovated and restored many classic and modern Alfa Romeo's and is a well respected figure in the Alfa Romeo owners club.
In 2001, Mike was awarded the Giulia award from the World Register in recognition of his quality workmanship.
MGS Coachworks may specialise in Alfa Romeo's of all types but has renovated and restored many other well known marques over the years. Famous marques we have worked on include: Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, and Porsche.
MGS Coachworks are particulary well known for their concours restorations of classic Alfa's and have won many awards both in the UK and overseas.
Mike Spenceley has also contributed to three Alfa Romeo books by John Tipler including Giulia Coupe GT & GTA, Alfa Spider: The Complete Story and Alfa Romeo Berlinas . These cover the 105 series Spider, Coupe and Saloon.
